Wel come to ISRA -- Adding new dimensions to Islamic Education

Conveying the message of Allah to the servants of Allah is the basic reason for raising the Muslim Ummah. For achieving this goal, Qur’an has given some basic principles. A very important principle among them is Hikmah. Hikmah means wisdom and strategy. Wisdom strongly demands that the message and call (Da'wah) should be in accordance with the person’s surroundings and their mental and educational level. Da'wah should be so appealing that people get attracted towards it and come closer to listen and understand it. To serve this purpose, ISLAMIC STUDIES RESEARCH ACADEMY (P) LTD. (ISRA) has been established under the guidance of Maulana Mohammad Yusuf Islahi, a renowned Islamic scholar and Da'wah expert and under the supervision of his son Dr. Salman Asad, a Islamic scholar and a computer and media expert. ISRA is dedicated to provide authentic Islamic information in the form of Books, Interactive Multimedia CD-ROMs, Audio and Video Cassettes and DVDs. Use of Internet and broadband to deliver this information is also under development. ISRA provides Islamic information in Urdu, English and other languages all over the globe.

1- Producing authentic Islamic Literature which should be in easy and everyday language. This should be compatible with the level of its audience, mental as well as educational level. The literature will be in the forms of Books, Interactive Multimedia CD-ROMs, and Audio and Video cassettes. The Internet and broadband will also be considered as the platforms for delivering this literature.

2- Translating the Qur’an in the easy and plain language, whether in Urdu or English or other languages considered in the next phase.

3- Translating the treasure of Ahadith with explanation in the simple and easy language. This work will also be done in the Urdu and English languages and other languages will be considered in the second phase.

4- Producing Interactive Multimedia CD-ROMs on the various topics of the Qur’an and Hadiths, the topics which deal with our day-to-day life.

5- The explanation of Qur’anic Ayahs through the Ayahs of Qur’an and Ahadiths will be a precious and valuable interactive multimedia CD-ROM, a part of program of ISRA.

6- Producing and publishing books, interactive CD-ROMs, Audio and Video cassettes on the current topics like Environment, Civilization, Family System, Politics, etc. in light of the Qur’an and Hadith.

7- Designing the courses for Islamic Schools with all due care of the atmosphere and mental level of the students. These courses will be designed right from Kindergarten through the higher grades.

8- Publishing these courses in the form of books and interactive multimedia CD-ROMs.

9- Designing and publishing the course of 'Alimiyyat' for those brought up in western societies.

10- Launching of an Internet-based Islamic School to impart Islamic Education right from the primary level through higher grades.

We, at ISRA, are dedicated to bring out authentic Islamic literature at the earliest. The work is in full swing and we are heading towards our goal. We need your encouragement and help at every stage.

We, at ISRA, are working with limited resources. This overwhelming project needs a lot of resources. This project is not only a dream which is about to come true, but it is also a call of the time and a duty on our shoulders. We have to perform this duty and obligation; otherwise, we will be in total loss in the life after death.

Completing this project is not an easy job. This needs a lot of resources and support. This also needs team-work. This all could only be possible with the help of well-wishers.
